The Acer K11 is the company’s latest pocket projectors. It features a SVGA (858 x 600) resolution, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and 200 ANSI lumens. Today, the writers from Audioholics released their review of the K11. The first thing that the writers noticed was the inclusion of an HDMI port. This port is not intended to deliver HD content, but instead allow the projector to receive digital content instead of using older analog ports. The projector is small, which also means that some features had to be sacrificed. This includes the audio, which is made possibly by a 1 watt speaker. One good thing the projector has going is the LED lamp, which provides a high brightness level, compared to other pico projectors. The lamp can also last up to 30000 hours, which means the users don’t have to pay for replacement lamps every few years. The final thought the writers made was, “If you own the business, maybe you don’t want the Acer K11. You want a huge, full featured projector that you take home every weekend to watch Lord of the Rings marathons. But if you have salesmen that need to impress, or if you are lacking a dedicated meeting room, a pocket projector is a must. The Acer K11 has a lot going for it. It’s small, light, and portable, it’s got an LED lamp which means you’ll probably have to replace the projector before the lamp dies, and it is very reasonably priced. With an integrated speaker, HDMI input, and a focus on supporting all the different PC video outputs, the K11 looks to be a trouble-free projector for the businessman (or woman) on the go.
